The Big Friday Night Feast!

If you’re already in the process of planning which ILMC sessions and events you would like to attend, make sure you leave room on your schedule for The Big Friday Night Feast. A launch pad to the weekend, it’s also a final opportunity to break bread (and dip it into melted cheese) with fellow delegates, as we head to Bodo’s Schloss for an Austrian-themed dinner.

Delegates will be able to choose various options from a discounted £34 set menu, whilst networking and socialising galore thanks to some seriously long banqueting tables. And with traditional steins of lager and an impressive range of Austrian wines, it’s the perfect setting for an off-piste adventure, before going off-piste.

Bureau Export Line-up Released

The line-up for ILMC's very first Testing 1 to 3 showcase is now complete, and will feature some of the hottest French artists you’re likely to find this side of the Channel Tunnel, along with a selection of fine regional cheeses and wines, imported especially for the event.

Artists performing on the day include Nantes-based indie rock quartet Bantam Lyons, Parisian psych-tronica act DBFC, Universal France-signed purveyors of euphoric pop Juveniles, and new wave R&B favourite Sônge. More information about each artist can be found here.

The event is timed so that delegates can enjoy lunch at the Royal Garden Mansion, before heading next door to inspect the showcases and partake of a digestif.

UTA's Happy Hour at ILMC

The good folk at United Talent Agency will be once again hosting their very own Happy Hour during ILMC 29 with the whole UTA team on hand to discuss any last-minute festival offers, whilst plying you with complimentary beverages and tasty snacks – it’s the ideal wind-down session after a busy day of conferencing, and it's all complimentary, my dear Watson.

But if last year’s event – which saw queues to get in – is anything to go by, you won’t need Sherlock Holmes' powers of deduction to conclude that early arrival is recommended.

Paul McGuinness Confirmed for Breakfast Meeting

After just over a decade of trying to pin him down for this one, we’re thrilled to finally announce that joining host and raconteur Ed Bicknell for The Breakfast Meeting at ILMC 29 will be one of the music industry’s most legendary managers - Paul McGuinness.  

In 1982, Paul founded what was to become one of the world’s leading artist management companies, Principle Management. He managed U2 from the start of their career until 2013, during which time they won 22 Grammys and sold over 160 million albums worldwide. He has also managed multiple Mercury Prize Winner - PJ Harvey, and The Rapture.

Paul is also widely known in the film business, in which he’s still heavily involved. So after a lifetime at the top of the international entertainment business, expect a unique hour and a half of enlightening conversation in this eagerly awaited session.

Delegate List and Networking Scheme Goes Live

Need a few clues as to who’s attending ILMC this year? It’s no mystery really, as the list of registered delegates is now live on the website and will be updated weekly until the start of the conference.

The ILMC Networking Scheme  is also now live and allows opted-in participants to access the contact information of other delegates in advance of the conference.
